Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) review: External beauty is what this phone is all about
This year, the company has launched the new Galaxy A7 and A5 smartphones. Just to clear the air, the South Korean tech giant launched devices with the same names as last year. Samsung just chose to call them the 2016 editions of the smartphones.
Launched at Rs 32,500, the Galaxy A7 smartphone is what we got to play with. It picks up a lot of characteristics from the Samsung's Galaxy S6 smartphone. We reviewed the handset to find out where it stands in the Indian smartphone market.
Design and display
In terms of design, the Samsung's Galaxy A7 smartphone seems to be heavily inspired from the Galaxy S6 smartphone with less rounded corners. With Gorilla Glass 4 panel on both front and back, the smartphone certainly exudes a premium feel. However, due to this the Samsung Galaxy A7 is also prone to a lot of smudges and might slip from the hand if not held tightly.

Apart from the glass, the Samsung Galaxy A7 smartphone comes with a metallic frame. Housing the volume rocker keys on the right and power key on the left, the frame of this smart phone is pretty much flat (except for the corners).

The non-removable back panel of the Samsung Galaxy A7 sports a 13 MP rear camera and a LED flash along with the Samsung branding below it. The 3.5mm headset jack, speaker unit and the micro-USB port are placed at the bottom of the smartphone.
The front of the Samsung Galaxy A7 is dominated by a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display. The smartphone comes with a 1,920x1,080 resolution at 401 ppi built on extremely thin bezels. It also features a physical home button that doubles up as a fingerprint scanner. On its sides, users get two feather touch buttons to go back to the previous menu and to display the opened tabs/apps.
With such a powerful display the Samsung Galaxy A7 offers a great viewing experience. The mobile comes with different colour modes, such as Adaptive display, AMOLED cinema, AMOLED photo vivid et al. In our review experience, the display of the smartphones comes with excellent viewing angles with sharp colours and good sunlight legibility.
